Hello everyone! Sorry that it has been awhile since my last update, a lot has happened!
Last time I told you all about how we, as a team, move out of our houses for two weeks to do our outreach in London at the two day Notting Hill Carnival. The 10 days leading up to the carnival is called BONES camp.
During BONES this year we spent so much time out in the city making connections with the locals and evangelizing, bringing complete strangers to Jesus, or even just having a conversation and fun with drums and stilts! We also spent many hours learning drum patterns to play as we marched at the carnival.
At carnival we gave out small pieces of paper to anyone and everyone who walked past, all with short promises from Jesus. This lit people's faces up with joy when they read the papers that told them that they are loved and worthy and have a future.
We got to see so much of London and got to make so many connections with people during this time, and we also got to share about Jesus in the most crazy and unexpected ways. We got to serve each other and others by cooking, cleaning, and even just listening.
At BONES every night was a worship night and it was during these two weeks that God really met with me and spoke to me. He showed me how he speaks and how he moves. I had never felt the overwhelming presence of the Holy Spirit before BONES and I finally understood the incredibly loving way He convicts and how good He is for that and so much more.
He spoke so much into my life during this time about who I am in Him and I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to do this outreach:)
Here are some pictures and videos of BONES:
