Personal Prayers for the third week of Lent

Sunday: – Loving Lord, sometimes it’s so hard to love the world and to love it the way Jesus does, to us that may seem impossible, but we know that with You all things are possible. Help us to be inspired by His love and guided by His example. Most of all, we want to accept that we can’t do it alone, and we need You to love through us.  We need You, dear God, to give us support in this journey. Show us how to unlock our hearts so that we are less selfish. Luke 1:37

Monday:- God of love, we know that You are the source of all that is good and graced in our lives. Help us to move from the life of sin to which we so often cling, into the new life of grace you offer us. You know what we need to prepare for your kingdom. Thank You that You have blessed us with gifts for Your kingdom’s sake. Galatians 2:20

Tuesday: – Loving God, You have heard our complaints and our impatience. Sometimes we confess that we become frightened and feel lost when we move away from You, guide our hearts back to You. Help us to think beyond our own wants and desire only to do your will. Thank You for the many blessings in our lives and for the way we feel safe, loved and joyful in your presence. Psalm 16:11

Wednesday:- Loving Creator, we know in your great love for us You see the deep sorrow we sometimes carry and the wounds in our soul. We thank You that You hear our prayers and bring us healing, comfort and peace. Be with us in mind and heart as we renew our lives in Your spirit during this season of Lent. 1 Peter 3:12

Thursday:- Lord, all we want is to be faithful to You in our lives, but so often in our humanness we fail. Thank You that as we repent, You cleanse us from our sins and guide us in Your ways of righteousness.  1 John 1:9

Friday:-  Thank You Lord that You are such a forgiving God and that You are always with us;  we believe Your promise that You never leave us or forsake us. Teach us to hand our burdens to You, knowing that You are well able to take care of that which concerns us. Psalm 138:8

Saturday- Loving God, we are grateful for the sacrifice of Your Son.  As we reflect on Your goodness during this time of Lent may we understand in greater measure Your great love for us. John 3:16
