Prayer Sheet for Trinity Sunday June 7, 2020

God is here. And God is everywhere.

God is mighty. And God is tender.

God is justAnd God has mercy.

God is Spirit. And God takes on flesh.

God is in Christ. And Christ is in us.

God is Spirit. And the Spirit abides in our hearts.

We are thankful for the ways in which God comes to us:

as Father, providing what we need to sustain and enjoy life;

as Christ, who teaches us how to love the world and its people;

and as Spirit, a presence to guide us in participating in God’s peace, this day and always.

Let us pray for the peace of the world: particularly remembering Justin, Archbishop of Canterbury; The Anglican Church of Mexico and Francisco, their Presiding Bishop and Bishop of Northern Mexico; Linda, our Primate; and Mark, our National Indigenous Archbishop, that they may remain faithful to their calling and rightly proclaim the word of truth. Lord, hear our prayer.

Let us pray for Canada, and especially for Queen Elizabeth, Julie, the Governor General, Justin, the Prime Minister, Jason our Premier, and all in authority: the Lord help them to serve this people according to his holy will. Lord, hear our prayer.

Let us pray for children and young people: the Lord guide their growth and development. Lord, hear our prayer.

Let us pray for the sick: _______ the Lord deliver them and keep them in his love. Lord, hear our prayer.

Let us pray for all who are condemned to exile, prison, harsh treatment, or hard labour, for the sake of justice and truth: the Lord support them and keep them steadfast. Lord, hear our prayer.

Let us pray for the Diocese of the Windward Islands, Leopold their Bishop, St. Patrick, Barrouallie (barrel- ee) with St. David, Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, All Saints, and Mary Magdalene, on St. Vincent and Alison their priest that your people may lead quiet and peaceable lives. Lord, hear our prayer.

Let us pray for: Gregory, Metropolitan of the Ecclesiastical Province of Rupert’s Land, and our Archbishop; the Parish of St. Augustine, Calgary and Vickie the Bishop’s Warden; Education for Ministry; and, Strategic Communications Committee, that they may remain faithful to their calling and rightly proclaim the word of truth. Lord, hear our prayer.

In our Parish we pray for Norbert, our Incumbent Priest; Martyn and Haydn, our Honorary Assistants; and, Dave, Andy, Sean and Bernard our Wardens, O Lord, guard and direct your Church in the way of unity, service, and praise. Lord, hear our prayer.

We remember the prophets, apostles, martyrs, and all who have borne witness to the gospel: the Lord direct our lives in the same spirit of service and sacrifice. Lord, hear our prayer.

Living God, receive all we offer you this day. Grant that hearing your word and responding to your Spirit, we may share in your divine life. We praise and thank you, O God our Father, through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Through him you have enlightened us by revealing the light that never fades, for dark death has been destroyed and radiant life is everywhere restored. What was promised is fulfilled: we have been joined to God, through renewed life in the Spirit of the risen Lord. Glory and praise to you, our Father, through Jesus your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Spirit, in the kingdom of light eternal, for ever and ever. Amen.
