Prayers of the People
Merciful Lord, we pray for all who call themselves Christians: that we may become a royal priesthood, a holy nation, to the praise of Christ Jesus our Saviour.
Lord, hear our prayer.
We pray for the committee tasked with selecting the next the Archbishop of Canterbury, Stephen the Archbishop of York,; The Anglican Church of Southern Africa with Thabo, their primate; Shane, our Primate; and Chris, our National Indigenous Archbishop, and for all bishops and other ministers: that they may remain faithful to their calling and rightly proclaim the word of truth.
Lord, hear our prayer.
We pray for the people of the Diocese of the Windward Islands, Leopold their Bishop, St. Patrick, Barrouallie (barrel-ee) with St. David, Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, All Saints, and Mary Magdalene, on St. Vincent with Alison their priest that your people may lead quiet and peaceable lives.
Lord, hear our prayer.
We pray for Charles our King, for the leaders of the nations, Mark, our Prime Minister, Danielle our Premier, and all in authority: that your people may lead quiet and peaceable lives.

We pray for the people of our diocese: Greg, our Archbishop; we pray for local post-secondary institutions and University Chaplaincies: Carmen at U of C and Erin at U of L the Parish of St. Augustine, Lethbridge with Steve, Gillian, and Allan their priests; that they may remain faithful to their calling and rightly proclaim the word of truth.
Lord, hear our prayer.
We pray for Okotoks and surrounding communities and those who live there, the poor and the rich, the elderly and the young, men and women: that you will show your goodwill to all.

We pray for the people of this Parish, especially Jeremy, Stephanie, Adelaide, Maggie, and Jasper; Norbert, our priest; Bernard and Rob, our wardens, members of Parish Council. We are all called to serve you O Lord, guard and direct us in the way of unity, service, and praise.

We pray for the victims of our society and those who minister to them: that you will be their help and defence.
Lord, hear our prayer.
We give thanks to you for Cameron whose birthday we celebrate today. May he ever grow in your faith, hope, and love, let us pray to the Lord.

We give thanks for all the saints who have found favour in your sight from earliest times, prophets, apostles, martyrs, and those whose names are known to you alone: and we pray that we too may be counted among your faithful witnesses.
Lord, hear our prayer.
Gracious God, you have heard the prayers of your faithful people; you know our needs before we ask, and our ignorance in asking. Grant our requests as may be best for us. This we ask in the name of your Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Stir up, O Lord, the wills of your faithful people, that richly bearing the fruit of good works, we may by you be richly rewarded; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.
