Prayers of the People

With confidence and trust let us pray to the Lord, saying, “Lord, have mercy.”

For the one holy catholic and apostolic Church throughout the world, remembering the the Archbishop of Canterbury, The Church of Ireland with John their primate, Shane our Primate, Chris our Indigenous Archbishop elect, Leopold, bishop of the Windward Islands, the parishes of; ___ and for all deacons, priests, and bishops, we pray to you, Lord.

Lord, have mercy.

For the mission of the Church, For Greg our Archbishop, and all other ministers; that in faithful witness we may preach the gospel to the ends of the earth, we pray to you, Lord.

Lord, have mercy.

For Norbert our priest, Bernard and Dave our Wardens, John our Treasurer and Arlene, Gina, Lorianne, and Lorrainne who serve on Parish Council; for members of our parish, especially Becky, Jordan, Odin, Sadie, and Thomas. For those preparing for baptism and for their teachers and sponsors, we pray to you, Lord.

Lord, have mercy.

For this community of Okotoks, Tanya our mayor and Town Council; our province, Danielle our Premier and the Legistative Assembly; our country; Mark our Prime Minister and the Parliament: For peace in the world, that a spirit of respect and reconciliation may grow among nations and peoples, we pray to you, Lord.

Lord, have mercy.

For those who are sick, that they may find healing and comfort, we pray to you, Lord.

Lord, have mercy.

For the people of the Ukraine and other war torn countries, and all who are in danger; that peace and reconciliation become a living reality, we pray to you, Lord.

Lord, have mercy.

For the poor, the persecuted, the vulnerable, and all refugees, prisoners, and displaced persons; that they may be relieved and protected, we pray to you, Lord.

Lord, have mercy.

For all whom we have injured or offended, we pray to you, Lord.

Lord, have mercy on us and let us become agents of healing and ambassadors of reconciliation.

For grace to amend our lives and to further the reign of God, for yours is the morning and yours is the evening; you are the well-spring of life, pour into our hearts the living water of your grace. Let Christ, shine forever in our hearts and draw us to that light where you live in radiant glory. We ask this for the sake of Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Amen.

Collect

God our refuge and our strength, receive all we offer you this day, and through the death and resurrection of your Son transform us to his likeness. We ask this in his name.
