Who We Are
An Anglican worshipping community striving to follow the way of Jesus by:
Proclaiming the love of God in Jesus Christ, as Risen Lord;
Offering hospitality, joy and hope;
Practising the love of God and neighbour;
Baptizing in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit; and
Serving though the power of the Holy Spirit.
What We Believe
- We believe in the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the revealed Word of God containing all things necessary for salvation.
- We worship one God in three Persons, praying to the Father through the Son by the Holy Spirit.
- We participate in the sacraments ordained by Christ himself, through the ministry of the apostolic orders.
- We are an integral part of the one Body of Christ composed of Churches which, united under the headship of Jesus, are in the fellowship of the one holy catholic and apostolic Church throughout the ages.
- We believe in the apostolic succession of bishops.
- We hold the one Faith revealed in Holy Scripture and defined in the creeds as maintained by the undivided primitive Church in the undisputed Ecumenical Councils.
- We are a parish of the Anglican Diocese of Calgary in the Anglican Church of Canada which is part of the worldwide Anglican Communion under the leadership of the Archbishop of Canterbury.
- We pray for the healing of the Church’s sad divisions and the reunification of the Body of Christ.
Our Values
Worship in the Great Tradition of the Church
That anchored by the Church’s historic liturgy, the Scriptures would be preached and the Sacraments faithfully administered, so that we may be ever replenished by the truth of the Apostolic Faith.
Striving to follow Jesus Christ faithfully
That our parish would always proclaim the love of God in Jesus Christ to bring people to a saving encounter with Jesus Christ, baptizing, equipping and encouraging every member for a life of full and deep communion with the Lord.
Serving through the power of the Holy Spirit
That this parish would be offering hospitality, joy, and hope in humble care of all in need and love them for the sake of Jesus Christ.
So What Happens on a Sunday?
- Our worship begins at 10:00 am and runs for approximately one hour.
- We sing, read scripture, listen to teaching, worship, bring our offerings, and have communion, all using a modern liturgy.
- Children are invited to attend Sunday School or remain in the sanctuary during the service.
- Coffee, tea, and snacks are served after the service, sometimes even a full lunch.
- We do not have a fixed worship style; open your hands, raise them, and sway side to side. It’s all okay here.
