Prayer for the Week of June 13, 2021

Almighty God, without you we are not able to please you. Mercifully grant that your Holy Spirit may in all things direct and rule our hearts;
Lord, hear our prayer.
Let us pray for the peace of the world: particularly remembering Justin, Archbishop of Canterbury; the people of The Church of Nigeria and Henry their primate; Linda, our Primate; and Mark, our National Indigenous Archbishop, that they may remain faithful to their calling and rightly proclaim the word of truth.
Lord, hear our prayer.
Let us pray for Canada, and especially for Queen Elizabeth, Justin, the Prime Minister, Jason our Premier, and all in authority: the Lord help them to serve this people according to his holy will.
Lord, hear our prayer.
Let us pray for children and young people: the Lord guide their growth and development.
Lord, hear our prayer.
Let us pray for those working with the Coronavirus that is continuing to ravage our world. Hear graciously the prayers we make for those affected by the virus globally. Grant healing to the sick, eternal life to the dead, and consolation to bereaved families. We pray for effective medicine and vaccines to combat this sickness,
Lord, hear our prayer.
Let us pray for the sick: _______ the Lord deliver them and keep them in his love.
Lord, hear our prayer.
Let us pray for all who are condemned to exile, prison, harsh treatment, or hard labour, for the sake of justice and truth: the Lord support them and keep them steadfast.
Lord, hear our prayer.
Let us pray for the people of the Diocese of the Windward Islands, Leopold their Bishop, the people of St. David and St. Paul on Grenada and Edward their priest that your people may lead quiet and peaceable lives.
Lord, hear our prayer.
Let us pray for the people of our diocese: Greg, our Archbishop; the people involved witho the Calgary School for Mission & Ministry, that they may remain faithful to their calling and rightly proclaim the word of truth.
Lord, hear our prayer.
Let us pray for the people of our Parish, for Norbert and Haydn our Priest; Bernard, Dave, and Wayne our Wardens, and members of parish Council O Lord, guard and direct your Church in the way of unity, service, and praise.
Lord, hear our prayer.
Let us give thanks to you for ______ whose birthday we celebrate today. May they/he/she ever grow in your faith, hope, and love, let us pray to the Lord.
Lord, hear our prayer.

Let us grieve with the Muslim community of London Ontario, following the hate motivated attak this week. Our Muslim friends have been tramatized and walk in fear. Let us recommit ourselves to the challenge of Islamophobia and all forms of hatred in our midst, for when one of our communities of faith is attacked we are all attacked.

Lord, hear our prayer.

Let us pray for the eternal repose of our brother Shelby. Be merciful with him. Give consolation to the Patton family and their frindes. Bless the communityo f Indan Head Saskatchewan during this time of sadness and desolation. May we seek your peace through a conversion of life. May our faith in the Risen Christ dispel the shadows caused by grief. May the sould ouf our brother Shelby and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace.

Lord, hear our prayer.
Let us remember the prophets, apostles, martyrs, and all who have borne witness to the gospel: the Lord direct our lives in the same spirit of service and sacrifice.
Lord, hear our prayer.
Living God, receive all we offer you this day. Grant that hearing your word and responding to your Spirit, we may share in your divine life. We praise and thank you, O God our Father, through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Through him you have enlightened us by revealing the light that never fades, for dark death has been destroyed and radiant life is everywhere restored. What was promised is fulfilled: we have been joined to God, through renewed life in the Spirit of the risen Lord. Glory and praise to you, our Father, through Jesus your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Spirit, in the kingdom of light eternal, for ever and ever. Amen.
