Prayer for the week of May 23

Let us pray to God the Holy Spirit, saying, “Come, Holy Spirit, come.”
Almighty and everliving God, who fulfilled the promises of Easter by sending us your Holy Spirit and opening to every race and nation the way of life eternal, keep us in the unity of your Spirit, that every tongue may tell of your glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord,
Come, Holy Spirit, come.

Come, Holy Spirit, creator, and renew the face of the earth.
Come, Holy Spirit, come.

Come, Holy Spirit, counsellor, and touch our lips that we may proclaim your word.
Come, Holy Spirit, come.

Come, Holy Spirit, power from on high: make us agents of peace and ministers of wholeness.
Come, Holy Spirit, come.

Come, Holy Spirit, breath of God, give life to the dry bones of this exiled age, and make us a living people, holy and free.
Come, Holy Spirit, come.

Come, Holy Spirit, wisdom and truth: strengthen us in the risk of faith.
Come, Holy Spirit, come.

We pray those who serve in your Church globally, particularly: Justin, the Archbishop of Canterbury; The people of the Anglican Church of Melanesia and George their Primate; Linda, our Primate; Mark, our Indigenous Archbishop,
We pray for those who serve in our Companion Diocese of the Windward Islands, Leopold their Bishop; the people of St. Philip, Mesopotamia with St. Matthias and St. Joseph, on St. Vincent and Ashton their Priest.
Come, Holy Spirit, come.

We pray for our diocese Greg, our Archbishop; the people Church of the Good Shepherd, Calgary and Derwyn their priest. and the Missional Coaches
Come, Holy Spirit, come.

We pray for the people of the Parish of St. Peter, Okotoks and those you have called to serve here, particularly remembering; Norbert and Haydn our priest; Bernard, Dave, Sean and Wayne who serve as the Corporation; and all who serve on Parish Council.
Come, Holy Spirit, come.

We give thanks for Shayla, Norbert and Ron whose birthdays we celebrate this week. May they ever grow in your faith, hope , and love. The whole earth is full of your glory.
Come, Holy Spirit, come

We praise and thank you, O God our Father, through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Through him you have enlightened us by revealing the light that never fades, for dark death has been destroyed and radiant life is everywhere restored. What was promised is fulfilled: we have been joined to God, through renewed life in the Spirit of the risen Lord. Glory and praise to you, our Father, through Jesus your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Spirit, in the kingdom of light eternal, for ever and ever. Amen.
