Lord God pour out your Spirit over all the world and inspire every heart with knowledge and love of you. May we who confess Jesus as Lord set aside whatever obscures this faith, so that our witness to your love may shine clearly in all our days. We pray for all people in their daily life and work: For —- whose birthday we celebrate this week, may they/he/she ever grow in your faith hope and love; For Mike and Vicky who celebrate their wedding anniversary today, we pray your continued blessing on them.

For Okotoks and surrounding communities, for this nation of Canada to be under your care, that we may be a people at peace among ourselves and a blessing to other nations of the earth. Help our elected leaders, Justin and Jason, to be trustworthy, and enable them to make wise decisions for the general welfare, and thus serve you faithfully in our generation to the honour of your holy name and for the world;

Silence. The people may add their own petitions.

Hear us, Lord;

For your mercy is great.

We thank you, Lord, for all the blessings of this life.

Please add your thanksgivings, silently or vervbally.

We will exalt you, O God our king;

And praise your name for ever and ever.

We pray for all those who have died in the peace of Christ, and for those whose faith is known to you alone, that they may have a place in your eternal kingdom.

Please add your petitions, silently or vervbally.

Lord, let your loving kindness be upon them;

Who put their trust in you.

Almighty God, you have given us grace at this time with one accord to make our common supplications to you, and you have promised through your well-beloved Son that when two or three are gathered together you will hear their requests. Fulfil now our desires and petitions, as may be best for us, granting us in this world knowledge of your truth, and in the age to come eternal life; for you, Father, are good and loving, and we glorify you through your Son Jesus Christ our Lord, in the Holy Spirit, now and for ever. Amen.
