Prayers of the People
Our Father, we acknowledge the mystery of the Trinity.
Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
We acknowledge You as Sovereign, over all and in all.
You are the Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer.
You are vast and unknowable, yet you gave of yourself to became one of us so that we might know you by and through,
Your Son, Jesus Christ.
This Son, the Christ, we remember His death, we proclaim His resurrection and ascension to Your right hand, await His coming in glory,
Lord Jesus, come soon!
You gave of yourself; adopting us as your heirs and empowering Your church to be the bride of Christ, by and through,
Your Holy Spirit.
Your character, nature, and creativity; are reflected in the various aspects of Yourself:
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We worship You whose parts reflect You differently, yet perfectly.
Hallelujah.
Your glory is reflected in all creation; O lord,
Give us eyes to see.
Your glory is reflected in every human beings; O Lord,
Give us eyes to see.
You make all people in Your image,
Restore us O Lord.
By your grace and Spirit, you have raised up witnesses and servants in many lands and cultures: Pour out your blessing upon the churches and provinces of the Anglican Communion, and upon their leaders as they prepare to gather for fellowship in The Lambeth Conference. Give wisdom and insight to Justin the Archbishop of Canterbury that the diversity represented may enrich our common witness and service to the honour and glory of your name; hear us, O Lord.
Lord, grant us peace.
May all bishops, priests, and people be part of the loving community you have called the Church to be.
Hallelujah.
We pray for La Iglesia Anglicana de Mexico with Enrique, their primate; Linda our Primate, and Chris our National Indigenous Archbishop. Draw your Church together, O Lord, into one great company of disciples, together following our Lord Jesus Christ into every walk of life, together serving Him in His mission to the world, and together witnessing to His love on every continent and island, hear us, O Lord.
Lord, grant us peace.
We are grateful for the many ways You have shown Yourself to us.
Hallelujah.
For Greg our Archbishop, Leopold Bishop of the Windward Islands; we pray to the Lord.
Hear us, Lord of glory!
By your holy prophets you taught your people to seek the welfare of the cities in which they lived. We commend our neighbourhood to your care, that it might be kept free from social strife and decay. Give us strength of purpose and concern for others, that we may create here a community of justice and peace where your will may be done; we pray to the Lord.
Hear us, Lord of glory!
You have established this parish of St. Peter, to be an outpost of your coming kingdom. Give discernment to those you have called to lead us; Norbert our priest, Bernard and Rob our Wardens, for members of our parish: Mishel and Brenda, and our Parish Council, we pray to the Lord.
Hear us, Lord of glory!
We give thanks for Leslie, Hadyn, Christine, Christopher, June, and Judy, who celebrate their birthdays this week. Dwell among us now, and cause us to live in unity and love just as You do;
Father, Son, Holy Spirit.
Come, Holy Spirit, make us instruments of your peace. Where there is hatred, let us sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is discord, union; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy.
Come, Holy Spirit, come.
Come, Holy Spirit, grant that we may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Come, Holy Spirit, come.
Dwell among us now and cause us to live in unity and love just as You do:
Father, Son, Holy Spirit.
Almighty and everlasting God, by whose Spirit the whole body of your faithful people is governed and sanctified, receive our supplications and prayers, which we offer before you for all members of your holy Church, that in every vocation and ministry may truly and devoutly serve you, hear us,
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. AMEN.

Father, we praise you: through your Word and Holy Spirit you created all things. You reveal your salvation in all the world by sending to us Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh. Through your Holy Spirit you give us a share in your life and love.
