Almighty God, whose people are knit together in one holy Church, the mystical Body of your Son, grant us grace to follow your blessed saints in lives of faith and commitment, and to know the inexpressible joys you have prepared for those who love you; through your Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. For all people maintaining the industries of this land, give them pride in their work, a just reward for their labour, and joy both in supplying the needs of others and in serving you their Saviour. For all people in their daily life and work;
For our families, friends, and neighbours, and for all those who are alone.
For Okotoks and surrounding communities, for this nation of Canada to be under your care, that we may be a people at peace among ourselves and a blessing to other nations of the earth. We pray for our leaders at all levels of government, enable them to contribute to wise decisions for the general welfare, and thus serve you faithfully in our generation to the honour of your holy name and for the world;
For all who work for justice, freedom, and peace.
For the just and proper use of your creation;
For the victims of hunger, fear, injustice, and oppression.
For health care workers and scientists as we continue to face a global pandemic. For all who are in danger, sorrow, or any kind of trouble;
For those who minister to the sick, the friendless, the needy, the unemployed and underemployed.
