Prayer Sheet For the Fifth Sunday after Epiphany, February 7, 2021

In joy and humility let us pray to the creator of the universe, saying, “Lord, grant us peace.”

Merciful Lord, grant to your faithful people pardon and peace, that we may be cleansed from all our sins and serve you with a quiet mind;

Lord, grant us peace.

By the good news of our salvation brought to Mary by the angel, hear us, O Lord.

Lord, grant us peace.

By the mystery of the Word made flesh, hear us, O Lord.

Lord, grant us peace.

By the birth in time of the timeless Son of God, hear us, O Lord.

Lord, grant us peace.

By the manifestation of the King of glory to the shepherds and magi, hear us, O Lord.

Lord, grant us peace.

By the submission of the maker of the world to Mary and Joseph of Nazareth, hear us, O Lord.

Lord, grant us peace.

By the baptism of the Son of God in the river Jordan, hear us, O Lord.

Lord, grant us peace.

Grant that the kingdoms of this world may become the kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ; hear us, O Lord.

Lord, grant us peace.

Help those working with the Coronavirus currently ravaging our world. Hear graciously the prayers we make for those affected by the virus globally. Grant healing to the sick, eternal life to the dead, and consolation to bereaved families. We pray for effective medicine to combat the sickness, hear us, O Lord.

Lord, grant us peace.

We are confident that it is your will to hold both heaven and earth in a single peace. Let the design of your great love shine on the waste of our wraths and sorrows, and give peace to your Church, peace among nations, peace in our homes, and peace in our hearts, hear us, O Lord.

Lord, grant us peace.
