The Liturgical Season Of Epiphanytide Year B

 Star of Bethlehem Quilt

Epiphanytide: His mission, our mission

the visit of the Magi – the baptism of Jesus – the presentation of Christ – the marriage at Cana – the transfiguration

This year the season starts on January 6th (Epiphany) and ends on February 13th (Shrove Tuesday).

White is the season’s colour.

“The visit of the Magi is traditionally interpreted as symbolic of God’s revelation of himself to the Gentiles, and so one of the themes of the season is mission.”
